To think this is not the way to discourage your child from naughty behaviour, but is really quite funny.

Heard this little conversation between a neighbour and his son yesterday evening. (The son is roughly 9 or 10)

Dad: ds stop throwing things as people.
Son: why?

(Dad doesnt answer, but a few minutes later)

Dad: ds I said STOP throwing things at people.
Son: WHY?
Dad: because your shit and you keep missing.

Son makes a growling noise and probably runs off as we didn't hear him for the rest of the evening. AIBU to have laughed?!

Sorry my spelling is atrocious today. There's supposed to be an 'at' rather than an 'as' and 'your' is supposed to be 'you're'! Oops!

Another one was last year, my NDN was out in the garden with his son eating lunch and the little boy dropped his sandwich on the floor and picked it back up. Cue:

Dad: ds put that down.
Son: where?
Dad: just throw it for the dog.
Son: where?
Dad: anywhere.
Son: where???
Dad: JUST ANYWHERE DO YOU NEED A GRID REFERENCE???!!

I do love listening to people hehe!

I love it that mothers never pass up on a golden opportunity to educate!
Overheard on a busy city street, as mother with young child (6'ish) passed man on crutches with leg in plaster ....

Mother: see that man
Son: what man?
Mother: the man that's hopping, with his leg all done in plaster?
Son: yeah
Mother: he got that from bouncing on his bed when his mum said not to
Son: looked suitably shocked and glanced back over shoulder, all the way to the crossroads !!
