Just got home and dd spotted a fledgling blackbird had fallen in pond and was sat there bobbing on surface cheeping. Dont know how long he had been in there no sign of parents. Fished him out and wrapped him in an old tea towel and sat with it in sun for a few minutes. Popped it back down under bird table on soil now its stood up, but wobbling, wings out as though its trying to dry itself off/warm itself up but hasnt moved in about ten mins (just moved its head). Any ideas or do I just leave it alone? TIA

Yes leave it alone. Mother should come back for it.

leave it alone. It will either learn to fly and get on, or be eaten by something.

it's not going to freeze today if you are in the UK. My problem is stopping the bird bath becoming a hot bath!
