Get a spray bottle? Then it looks less like you're chasing a toddler with a gun, and it has the bonus of having many other functions cat scarer like helping with the ironing.

NotYoMomma · 09/07/2013 14:19

ironing. the thought of ironing in this weather just made me ill lol

Go for it. We have two.

I had to iron my trousers this morning. It was hideous. I avoid the task generally but in this heat it was almost unbearable.

reggiebean · 09/07/2013 14:29

Nothing reasonable to contribute but pissing myself at the thought of you running around squirting your child with a water gun and all the other mums wringing their hands in horror...

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 09/07/2013 14:31

I can just see it AIBU to judge the mum in the park chasing her dc witha GUN Shock

reggiebean · 09/07/2013 14:34

HA! Yes!

"I don't normally like to interfere, but there's a mum in our local park who is chasing her DC with a gun. Yes, it only has water in it, yes, it's bright yellow and see-through, so no chance of it being mistaken for a real one, and yes, the DC is loving it because it's 30 outside, but, surely, that's not the example you want to set to other children, is it?! AIBU??"

Anyone remember nagging their mum to pour the Fairy Liquid into a milk bottle so you could use the plastic Fairy Liquid container as a water gun? Maybe I'm too old Smile

Nancyclancy · 09/07/2013 14:47

Fairy liquid bottles are great 'water guns.' I'd forgotten about using those. Will start saving them!

Jojobump1986 · 09/07/2013 15:01

I'd never have thought of Fairy bottles! Great idea! I'm on a save-everything-that-might-be-useful drive at the moment so I shall add Fairy bottles to the list! & go empty one right now ready for when my grouchy 20mo wakes up! Grin

EagleRiderDirk · 09/07/2013 16:44
