To close the DC window at night?

Dh thinks I am being ridiculous. I can't relax if the bedroom window is open when I go to sleep. I imagine someone climbing up onto the front door porch and in through their open window.

DH says he'd wake up and why would anyone do it anyhow? But I can't relax! AIBU? I know its hot....should I listen to DH and let the kids breathe at night or should I close the window and feel safe?

Yanbu. Better to put a fan in their room. if an adult could climb in no way would I leave it open!

I shut my 4 yo window when I go to bed, NOT because of the possibility of burglars or even the possibility of her climbing out, but because she wakes up when the birds start singing - and I can't cope with 4am starts!

I shut it again last night and DH thinks it's cruel. I couldn't do it! I KNOW they need air...I just can't sleep if it's open.
