I have set up, run and sold 2 successful businesses before becoming a SAHM. In 2 more years before my 4 DC will be school age and I am assuming I'll be able to go back to work. Specifically, set up another business and work from 9-3.

A I being naive? Will all the other responsibilities I have - running the house, helping with homework, after school activities and social things -make it just not possible?

Has anyone else tried to do this and failed or succeeded, or even given up?

I would like to do this without hiring a nanny I should point out. Nothing against nannies I just prefer not to have one.

What kind of businesses have you had before? Would they be easy to run in school hours only? Could anyone help you?

Lots of things you need to consider I guess.

Disclaimer: have never run my own business, this is all impartial!

I have my own business but I don't fit it around DC or the housework as it is our main source of income.

It's going to depend on what type of business it is and what it means for your family - is it extra income or your livelihood?
