I am considering it, seriously

I could get up to eat & have regular baths......if I had a hot tub I could stay in the bath all weekend (ala Hitch-hiker's Guide) but I haven't; so I could 2 or 3 a day?

DH might cook or I could get takeout?

My consultant suggested I have 3 x 20 minute baths a day

I am debating similar with myself for next weekend, but I am also DH-free, so the house to myself for 2 nights running....first time in 7 years & 3 DC!

Can't decide what to do first....
lay out all the sharp knives along the edge of the counters
leave the stairgates open
leave pens & pencils scattered about on the floor
all locked kitchen cupboards open (could get annoying as I bump into them though?)
all keys, money, phone, etc in reach
create tidy piles of anything all over the place....

any other ideas?!

DP and I are getting hitched shortly, mostly so we can have two nights in a hotel with no sprogs. So we can sleep. Sad but true!

That sounds wonderful. The weekend the children were away, we got up in the morning to get a brew and some toast and then sat reading in bed for ages. Bliss.

Bath in the evening with a large glass of wine and a very trashy novel was a fab end to the day.

Oh dear god I'm so envious of you it is Sad.

If I was in tour shoes (one day, surely??) I would:

Sleep in my own bed with DH and NO child. Get up, cup of tea and toast, go to bed read, nod off, get up shower, go back to bed, read nod off, get dressed, read, eat something then wander to pub garden drink large amount of rum

I may do some upholstery......maybe?

This will happen soon for me!im going to have a lie in,eat breakfast,watch some complete shite on telly then itll be time for coffee snd obviously a nap as i will be worn out....(hmmm) then ill do some leisurely housework( usually people under my feet)then itll be time for....a nap.YESSSS.I really cant wait.So simple.So perfect.

We had a lovely child free weekend a few months back. We were most upset that we both woke up at 6 45 automatically expecting dd to appear, but, BUT we the went back to sleep until 10am!!!

It was amazing, we still talk about it now... Enjoy!

I'm not up yet (had my first bath tho')

Went out for lunch (DH stayed at home & had Jamaican food)
Went to the local fete

My parents have invited us out for an open air concert this evening (I might have a nap & a bath first)
