There's a party going on on my street...

It's only 10pm but it's obviously going to be a big one. The gangster rap is blaring, there seems to be loads of people there, you can hear all the chat and shouting.

Now this doesn't bother me at all, mine and the DC's bedroom is at the back of the house away from it and it's the first party I've heard since we moved here 18 months ago so live an let live. But the thing is, this is is a really quiet street. The only people I have ever seen are retired couples and young families with small DC. There's not even a peep on New Year's Eve. But this house opposite was rented out a month or so back and I think it's a group of twenty-something lads who have rented it.

There's going to be a ruck soon Grin

AIBU to ask someone to lend me a video camera so I can tape the ensuing entertainment?

Maybe it's the retired couples having a party, lots of oldies like kicking back with a big spliff whilst listening to the Wu Tang Clan.

I'm trying to picture my elderly neighbours getting down with the Wu Tang Clan.

That's quite an entertaining image after a few glasses of wine.

There's a party going on on my street too - the same as you described. Perhaps we're on the same street.....are there kids playing football in the driveway?

Thurlow · 29/06/2013 22:38

No, sorry, we don't have drives around here! But kids playing football might cheer the rest of the street up. Is it a good party, by the sounds of it?
