My dd has had a temp of 102 this is the second day , if she has medicine she is ok but once it wears off the temp is normal although she is quiet.

I am about to move and I have a job which I am doing a major project, what should I do?

Daughter is fine when she has medicine I need some advice please?

And my ds has a project that needs to be handed in Monday I am so stressed what should I do?

Please do not judge me we are moving after years of abuse and its all getting to much, silly I know.

Wow, call nhs direct, the Samaritans and International Rescue. In that order.

ShatnersBassoon · 27/06/2013 21:50

Make an appointment with your dentist?

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 27/06/2013 21:51

You poor thing.

How old is your DD, and your DS?

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 27/06/2013 21:52

Pollydon

that's not helpful

Lovelygoldboots · 27/06/2013 21:58

First get your toothache sorted. It's a bastard. Take some ibuprofen and see dentist asap. Hope you feel better soon.

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 27/06/2013 22:00

I was going to say inbuprofen as well - it's good for tooth/earache

Pollydon · 27/06/2013 22:01

Jamie how is that not helpful ? NHS direct will deal with wisdom teeth , or let op know of an emergency dentist in their area !

mooseisabunny · 27/06/2013 22:02

Sounds like an abcess on your tooth.

You have to see a dentist asap. Overnight ice on your face may control the swelling a little, but only use for a max of 20 mins

wehaveourlifeback · 27/06/2013 22:02

My dd is 5 my ds is 7.

Seems stupid when you can put up with death threats and abuse of kicking you head in in front of my dc's on several occasions.

I do not care about me seriously I need to think about my dc's and if it is going to be ok the day we leave.

I need my job they are good to me never had a day off since I have been there for 6 months, my dc's are the most important right now

What should I do tomorrow about my dd?

Forgive me, I thought the International Rescue was sarkiness

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 27/06/2013 22:03

^that was to Pollydon

Boomba · 27/06/2013 22:03

ibuprofen AND paracetamol, together

is your input needed for ds's project? If he cant do it by himself, then writea note to the teacher explaining the delay. But he should be doing it himself?

take dd to gp tomorrow if no better

get on with project now

wehaveourlifeback · 27/06/2013 22:04

Pollydon thanks

No, more an attempt at levity, I'll get my coat .......

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 27/06/2013 22:05

OP

so DSs report is no biggie.

If it were my DD, I'd ring the GP first thing and ask for an emergency appt.

But I think once you sort your teeth, everything will be more manageable, so don't neglect yourself

wehaveourlifeback · 27/06/2013 22:10

Yes it is funny in a way almost happened all at once Pollydon you do not need to leave with your coat at least stay for the bubbly when I am through this crap Smile.

How old is your DD? If she is a baby you should ring NHS direct or your out of hours GP for some advice as that is quite high.

To help your toothache until you can get to a dentist, get a glass of warm water and dissolve as much salt in it as you possibly can. Hold a mouthful of the salty water in the area of your sore tooth for about a minute & then spit out.

DS has all weekend to do his project. If he is very young then just write a note to school & say he was unable to do it as you & DD were I'll & so you couldn't organise him to do it. If he's older sit him down for an hour first thing tomorrow & let him get on with it. He can be responsible for any consequences if he doesn't put the work in. Just this once it won't hurt if it's not up to scratch.

Be kind to yourself. It's hard when everything happens at once but it sounds like you're managing just fine.

Hope you and DD are feeling better soon Flowers

Pollydon · 27/06/2013 22:15

Thanks wehave.
Do call nhs direct, your local on call gp may be able to see you , my wisdom tooth became abcessed over an Easter weekend & they sorted me out with pain relief & antibiotics untill I could see an emergency dentist .

Fuzzysnout · 27/06/2013 22:16

X post. Second the suggestion of emergency appointment for DD tomorrow.

If you don't have a dentist hospitals often have an emergency dental service for you.

wehaveourlifeback · 27/06/2013 22:17

We are doing the project this weekend for ds .

I have taken ibruprofen have nothing else in the house, except alcoholSmile.

I sent dd to school today she was ok till home time I will take her to doctors in the morning ,then make an appointment for myself at dentist.

Get your wisdom tooth sorted, when they get like this they need to come out. If it's a top one (I hope it is) then it will be really easy - with an abscess they come out very easily anyway. The relief is enormous.

I hope your DD continues to be well, it's awful when they spike temperatures like that.

And your health always, always has priority over school work.
