You have arranged your your wedding date after six months. Then one of your relatives died 3 months before your wedding. Would you go to the funeral?

I have never heard this.

It seems disrespectful to the person who died tbh.

Never heard of it. My grandmother passed away between us getting engaged and getting married and we attended her funeral.

Five years later, still v happily married, no horrors have befallen us.
