discarded, used, pregnancy test, was I AIBU to look to see if it was positive?
then feel disgust for the woman who dipped in her stream, then left it and wrappings on the floor for someone else to pick up?

negative by the way. ..

I used to work in mcdonalds. I have walked in in someone injecting drugs.

I have a needle phobia. It was awful

jeee · 25/06/2013 13:27

I saw a woman in a car peering intently at a pregnancy test the other day. I did want to knock on the window and ask for the result, but refrained

Crowler · 25/06/2013 13:28

If you're desperate to know and went to the store just to buy one, I think it seems pretty logical.
And, quite different from shooting up.
Some people wouldn't want the evidence around their house.

treaclesoda · 25/06/2013 13:29

I saw a discarded pregnancy test in KFC toilets once. Is it a thing, do you think? please don't judge me for being in KFC, I was young and naive

Crowler · 25/06/2013 13:29

But gross to leave on the floor.

NoRainNoRainbow · 25/06/2013 13:31

I found a positive one in a nandos toilet, also some skid marked pants, do I win? Grin

It had obviously been an eventful night Wink

Damnautocorrect · 25/06/2013 13:33

I found a positive one at work once

TheCatIsUpTheDuff · 25/06/2013 13:34

I did one in the town centre loo when I was 17. Couldn't do it at home, for obvious reasons, and didn't want to risk doing it at school/friend's house. I did wrap and bin it afterwards though.

eragon · 25/06/2013 13:35

there was a story about a couple in macdonalds who had sex on the floor of the ladies loo. it was in the daily mail in april, in hatfield.
they never court the couple.

so I suppose a discarded pregnancy test is quite tame.

I cant imagine leaning over a copulating couple to simply wash my hands after going to the toilet.

Keztrel · 25/06/2013 13:35

No I would totally want to know if it was positive Grin I wouldn't touch it though! And how gross to leave it on the floor.

AmyFarrahFowlerCooper · 25/06/2013 13:38

When exP worked as a cleaner in McDonald's, he'd find pregnancy tests on a daily basis. When he was mopping the main eating area, he'd overhear lots of teenage girls discussing the results so assumed they were the ones leaving them. And by leaving them, it was in the sinks, on the floor, everywhere. He'd find syringes a lot too (especially in the men's) and they wouldn't be in the bin. And the times where he would catch them injecting or a man that had overdosed. He had to clean a lot of blood up too. And used condoms.

This wasn't in a bad area or anything just a bog standard McDonald's. I would never use the toilets in one after hearing some of the stuff that goes on in there!

SpecialAgentTattooedQueen · 25/06/2013 13:42

Sometimes women feel safer to use a test in a public place than at home with an abusive partner/if they are under age/from cultures that would punish them.

The list goes on, sadly :(

Midori1999 · 25/06/2013 13:43

I should probably confess to having done a pregnancy test in the supermarket loo. I had held my wee all morning until after the school run and left DH hanging about by the clothes to hear the result while I did the test. I didn't leave it though, I took it with me to show him when we got home.

DD is now 2.

cuteboots · 25/06/2013 13:44

Gives a whole new meaning to word Big Mac ! hee hee hee

MerryOnMerlot · 25/06/2013 15:05

YABU for going to McDonalds.

YANBU for thinking it's manky to leave such things on the floor - anywhere.

Mandy2003 · 25/06/2013 15:13

McDonalds have blue lighting in the cubicles to stop IV drug users finding a vein don't they?

quesadilla · 25/06/2013 15:15

I was going to say I would think a pregnancy test was fairly innocuous by the standard of things found in a McDonalds loo.

AmyFarrahFowlerCooper · 25/06/2013 16:33

Not all of them mandy. Sends out the wrong image apparently!

MrsRajeshKoothrappali · 25/06/2013 16:35

I've done a test in public loo.

Think it was Tesco.

Negative.

Put the test and all discarded wrappings into a bin though. Would never expect someone else to clear up my piddle-sticks!!

BeetleBugBaby · 25/06/2013 16:36

Sums up the area of my local shopping centre then!, the toilets there have blue lighting in. The ones in asda don't so I go to asda, the blue lights give me a headache.

FobblyWoof · 25/06/2013 16:38

I took one in the Littlewood cafe toilet once Blush

Was 17 had just started the pill and didn't realise that it took a few days for your period to start after taking the last one for the month Blush

I did clear it up though.

Same littlewoods toilet I found a big poo on the back of the toilet rather than in it Confused

Did Grin at the positive test in Nandos!
