I put ours on earlier to dry some washing, as it was pissing down outside. I hate putting it on in (too many prepositions?) June, but otherwise I'll have rank-smelling clothes.

Heating just been switched on. My brother and his family arrived from Australia today. It's the middle of Winter over there and its still warmer than England!

I wear a very warm cardi and still in my thermals - but the heating has remained off now for a few weeks and will not be going on again until the autumn.
