Of napkins which seem to be made of some sort of plastic instead of tissue, and aren't absorbant in the slightest?

What can you DO with them? What are then even for? They're totally useless for wiping up any kind of spill or even wiping your nose or mouth.

AIBU to think they are pointless or do they have some sort of hidden function?

Are you sure you're not trying to blow your nose on a sandwich bag?

HorryIsUpduffed · 21/06/2013 15:19

They are better for wrapping slices of birthday cake for party bags.

YoniBottsBumgina · 21/06/2013 20:46

Hmm, I suppose they might be better for holding greasy/sloppy/otherwise damp foods. But they have them at the local potato stand Confused

They make lovely sails for Arts and Craft boats.

I agree this is probably not the purpose for which they were designed Smile

morganster · 21/06/2013 22:19

Maybe they're for holding potatoes? who knows. I wish we had a local potato stand.

RenterNomad · 21/06/2013 22:22

I've known bogroll made of this sort of paper, too! Confused

PseudoBadger · 21/06/2013 22:23

They are from the same stable as that shiny loo roll

YoniBottsBumgina · 21/06/2013 23:23

The potato stand is incredible, I have to say, but no, because the potatoes are too hot to hold in a tissue and also they come in a little polystyrene tray.

Yes the weird old tracing paper loo roll, exactly the same! What is up with that?

Discouraging pooing in public?

snooter · 22/06/2013 20:21

My inlaws prefer that sort of non-absorbant horrible shiny loo-roll! Only in the last few years have they been unable to find any, although M-i-L is now a silver surfer, so who knows?
