To want to eat another packet of Jaffa Cakes

I have already had one. I bought two. It is taunting me there in the Co Op bag.

So I ask you wise people, do I give in to the gluttony?

I am currently breastfeeding so I need the calories don't I?

The second packet will not taste nearly as nice.

Tapirbackrider · 21/06/2013 13:45

YANBU - tis the obvious answer!

Gluttony would be eating both packs then going back to the shop for more! Wink

They have barely any calories in as are more air than cake/biscuit. AND they have orange in them, which is a great source of vitamin C. So, it would be unreasonable of you not to eat them.

You'd be doing me a favor, as I have a real medical condition called 'jafferinteritis' that means if I see a jaffa I eat a jaffa.

It's a daily struggle and the less that are about the better Grin

There's not much fat in Jaffa cakes if that helps.

Go for it - it's Friday, you're breastfeeding, and you can keep me company while I eat my second jam doughnut of the day! Blush Grin

Thank you all. I have eaten them. Well, more like inhaled Blush

It is a little-known fact that Jaffa Cakes contain more vitamins and minerals than organic blueberries, broccoli and salmon. YANBU

Sorry to put a dampner in things but what about the surge in blood sugar levels by eating so many jaffa cakes in one go!!?

DumSpiroSpero · 21/06/2013 18:26

TBH, after eating one packet of Jaffa cakes already I'm not sure a second pack would make that much difference to the OP's blood sugar!

ApocalypseThen · 21/06/2013 18:35

Bearing in mind the blood sugar issue, I'd follow the wise procedure below:

  1. Make cup of tea;
  2. Drink;
  3. Make second cup of tea;
  4. Enjoy with Jaffa cakes.

This will allow a blood sugar calm down and you will ease into your second lot nicely hydrated.

Munxx · 21/06/2013 20:20

I had a coffee and a rest between packets Wink

Jaffa cakes actually make up two of your 5 a day.

You have the orange, which is also a valuable source of vitamin C, as cleverly pointed out by Dry. You also have the chocolate, which comes from cocoa beans, which are grown on a plant. It's practically a salad! Plus dark chocolate is good for your heart. Scientists have proved it Grin
