Guilt

Am I being unreasonable.....I am going away for the third time for a weekend away .....my husbands mum isn't well and wants to enjoy the time she has left with her family....
my sister is annoyed because she hasn't been away anywhere for a holiday this year....
I feel very guilty especially as she keeps making snide comments to me ...I just want to spend as much time with my mil and our family and I do feel very lucky to be going away again...should I feel so guilty ?

Of course you shouldn't Glitter, your sister should appreciate that whilst she may not get away this year she will most likely be around to see next year, could your MIL say the same?

Ask her if she would rather have the holiday and potentially soon dead family member soon or the family member alive and well.

How can any one be so nasty when there is a dying relative involved!

Sorry hope that isn't too blunt.

Your (presumably adult) sisters holiday choices are not your responsibility. Enjoy your time with your MIL and disengage from your sister.
