Found lastminute.com tickets for Mamma Mia, and meal . Asked dd if she fancied it, and she asked when? I replied when I can get booked up, why? She said because she was not sure she could be bothered.
Aibu to feel hurt by her attitude? She is 14 by the way. I thought it would be a nice post exam treat.

Don't worry. She's probably just mentally exhausted after her exams. It's a good thing that she feels she can be honest with you, as opposed to doing something she doesn't really want to just to protect your feelings. That's the kind of relationship I've had with my own mother and it's not a happy one.

Sounds like a typical 14 year olds response to me. That said YANBU. I would suggest you book it then talk it up, build up the excitement for her.
And in future maybe just book things as a surprise?

I just feel like not bothering now, tbh. It's a lot of money, by the time you add in train fare, so I will go with my sister, as planned Hmm

I hated mamma Mia and do did my dds.

Why don't you just take her out for an impromptu shopping trip with a nice girly lunch and chat.

14 is a difficult age so don't make her feel if she doesn't want to do what you want her to then you won't do anything.

Thebody, I have seen it once, I liked it! She hates shopping Hmm, or maybe just me.
