I have been to the Doctors 12 times in 8 weeks, I am bloated, indigestion out of the blue, strong pelvic pain for 3 weeks, I feel nine months pregnant they have felt and said no masses but I hurt all the time. I can feel my ovaries dragging, They have tested bloods and found normal, AIBU to now ask for more action, I have to go for more bloods next week, but I'm thinking scans, MRI, do something, worried about ovaian cancer, im 45, should I insist on a female doctor.

go to your gp and ask very specifically for what you want. i had terrible periods last year, went to gp who suggested a mirena coil. when fitting it said i had a huge uterus. i went back 3 weeks later to discuss this, was patted on the head; despite a family history of cancer of the womb. six months later i went for a company medical; sent for a scan and now have an appt a week later for a consultant gynae (all nhs by the way).

If your GP refuses to refer you for a scan, you can go to your local Sexual Health Clinic, and they should be able to refer you.
