To be disappointed that a thread was deleted

Before I got to finish reading it? It seems it was a previously banned poster who was pretending to be her own friend. Was enjoying reading through but it was deleted in the middle of my reading.

I'm NOT disagreeing with the deletion! Just my giant nose has been put out Grin

whatshallwedo I reported two threads yesterday, one in particular was full of unwarranted personal abuse of another poster. Not at all edifying Sad, it was more like being forced to listen to a group of particularly ignorant teenage girls bitching about someone. The language was foul, and not even amusingly foul. I really wouldn't want anyone to be able to read it again, the poster who was attacked has every right to be on this forum without being forced to namechange.

Occasionally there have been extremely funny threads that have been deleted - the Free ACertainWellknownPosterWho'sNameIWillNotMentionAsIDon'tWantToGetIntoTroubleWithHQ thread comes to mind. She'd been banned after losing it with a goady type and making Personal Attacks on him. To be fair, he'd been punished too. On balance, since it did refer to both posters by name, it was best deleted, but some of the support remarks made went off sideways brilliantly!

There was a funny stealth boast one recently that made me laugh but twas deleted as a pbp had started it.

usualsuspect · 15/06/2013 11:47

I just want to know who the PBP are.

DeepRedBetty you are right it wouldn't be appropriate to keep the personal attack threads just the random troll ones maybe.

Sparklymommy · 15/06/2013 17:27

I was enjoying the entertainment factor of the burlesque thread the other day. Was confused when it was deleted as it wasn't really offending anyone as far as I am aware. Maybe the OP, but then I think he was expecting it when he started the thread!

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 15/06/2013 17:33

Isn't it annoying when you miss all the fun!

LadyBeagleEyes · 15/06/2013 17:35

The best threads are always deleted Sad.
Disclaimer, obviously not the horrible ones but the funny WTAF ones.
I agree Sparkly, the Burlesque one was a case in point.
