LEAVE MY CUSHIONS ALONE

My mother has come to stay. Every day she "re-arranges" the soft-furnishings status quo in my home. I feel that this is a metaphor for how she views my home/life/choices/parenting capabilities in general.

Next time I go to stay at her house, WIBU to remove all her china figurines, doilies and armchair covers and sell them in a car boot sale?

I don't think cushions can be metaphorical.

I do think Mothers can be vexing.
