to be utterly bored with their conversation or am I unreasonable and probably bitter?

I used to house-share with three women at uni we all stayed within the same area, we live about an hour apart at most - but due to work and other commitments only meet up once every few months.

Today the conversation was all about their boyfriends, just like it always is. I sat there and literally could have gone to sleep, I realised that 90% of the rime they are always talking about them when we meet up. Such as

My boyfriend is 5"10, how tall is yours?
My boyfriend has started going to the gym? Really so has mine.
My boyfriend is so messy, I even make the bed with him still in it.

Now I get that your boyfriend of 3/4 years is a huge part of your life and I don't mind talking about them for a little while but theres a part of me that wants to scream - if this all you can talk about?! I don't give a shit what your boyfriend is doing, I'd rather know about what YOU are doing.

But then again I'm single and because of that I can't join in so perhaps I am bitter and unreasonable?

You're just realising that friendship has run its course. Some do

They sound incredibly dull. Have you tried steering the conversation away from their boyfriends? Or jokingly mentioning how much they talk about them?

God, that would bore me shitless. I also glaze over when people endlessly talk about their DC. I think I'd have to limit my exposure or my brain would leak out my ears.
