To think TV presenters (women especially) are all so very trim and perfect.

I struggle to think of any with the normal lumps and bumps you'd find if you randomly picked a selection of men and women off the street.
Are they all heavily strapped in and is 'the look' a recruitment requirement?
If it is, do they really think we'd change channels if the news presenter had a few extra pounds round his or her middle.
Or should we commend them for setting a good example for the rest of us in staying healthy and looking great throughout our careers?

I think if I was on TV everyday I'd make more of an effort to be very thin. There aren't many chunky male presenters either. Apart from Eamon Holmes.

you wouldnt get on tv in the first place if you werent incredibly thin and young and beautiful.

and then once you got past a certain age, or if you put on a few pounds, youd be dropped

Or is it just that British women have got progressively fatter and the newsreaders have kept more to the kind of weight that would have been normal twenty years ago?
