please don't click on it if it would offend you
www.gumtree.com/p/business-services/massage-and-shave-in-sutton-surrey/1019529156
in short:
The title is - Massage and Shave
then it goes on describing her procedure ....
Shaving, on the other hand, achieves a completely smooth result and is a pleasant and soothing procedure.

I've reported it to the Gumtree.

Reporting ads like that makes you a nosey parker.

Is she forcing you or anyone else to have sex?

No

IfNotNowThenWhen · 02/06/2013 14:19

Yep, sounds like she is promising a "happy ending" to me.

happyAvocado · 02/06/2013 14:20

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey - I would never assume that it is only her living off her services

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 02/06/2013 14:20

And yes, maybe you should stop reading books like that...

Boomba · 02/06/2013 14:20

Why do you read books like that?? Confused

HotCrossPun · 02/06/2013 14:21

Really?

I'm not normally one for saying have you nothing better to do, but you sound like you have waaaay too much time on your hands.

HabbaDabba · 02/06/2013 14:22

Haven't you got things the wrong way round? I mean, you reported the woman. THEN you ask others for their opinion as to whether you misunderstood the ad. Too fracking late if you have coz you've already stirred things up for her.

Even if she was alluding to sexual services, so what? She isn't plying her trade outside your house or anywhere near you.

I'm guessing that she isn't advertising her services in the hair care section :) so how did you come across her add?

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 02/06/2013 14:22

Why assume anything - mind your own business.

I don't mean to be rude but bloody hell she's not hurting you.

And maybe she's just trying to earn a living - why report her, do you think that will stop her?

HotCrossPun · 02/06/2013 14:23

That guy from Hull was here offering his 'specialist massage' and now he's in Classics Grin

Binkyridesagain · 02/06/2013 14:23

I'm wondering what OP was looking for to happen upon an ad for a potential prostitute.

Boomba · 02/06/2013 14:28

Do you think she is a woman who has been trafficked? Are you trying to help her? Is that what you mean?

I don't think human traffickers advertise on Gumtree

PatPig · 02/06/2013 14:28

£50 is not that much for 1 hour's massage in London.

You are not going to single-handedly morally crusade all prostitution out of Sutton.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 02/06/2013 14:30

Locally it's called Slutton pat!

YouSayWhaaat · 02/06/2013 14:32

OP

You quite urgently need to find something better to do with your time.

suckmabigtoe · 02/06/2013 14:34

OP do you mean she's feeding her children with what she earns or are you saying she's being pimped and forced to advertise on gumtree?

morethanpotatoprints · 02/06/2013 14:35

OP,
Its a waste of time asking now if you have missed something, as you already reported it.
What has it got to do with you anyway? Are you scared your dh might be tempted.

happyAvocado · 02/06/2013 14:37

why I read this particular book (still reading it) - because I've heard of work the author Oxana Kalemi does for highlighting trafficking of women to UK's sex industry

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 02/06/2013 14:38

I'm tempted to send the OP a copy of my local newspaper and tell her to get cracking on the 3 or 4 pages of 'massage' adverts Grin

happyAvocado · 02/06/2013 14:38

hahaha - failed snear morethanpotatoprints I am happily single

OP posts:
happyAvocado · 02/06/2013 14:39

I can see that I am in minority here - that actually surprised me, but a good reality check.

breatheslowly · 02/06/2013 14:40

£50 would be a bit of a bargain for a normal massage in my area. I assume that prostitutes would want to be paid more. I really feel for genuine masseuses who have to deal with people assuming that they are prostitutes. It is actually quite a vulnerable situation to be in.

suckmabigtoe · 02/06/2013 14:41

sneer Wink

BridgetBidet · 02/06/2013 14:44

Mumsnet is not going to start letting hookers advertise just because there are some on Gumtree. For a start I don't think we are their target market.

Gumtree's full of dodgy adverts anyways, that's were one goes if one wants to advertise something dodgy. It's full of criminals pretending they have pedigree dogs to sell when they're actually in Nigeria and want to take all your money.

And stolen cars. And paedos looking for babysitting jobs.

happyAvocado · 02/06/2013 14:44

I have feeling you guys don't use Gumtree by assuming that I was looking for a particular type of ad.

I simply chosen location (Sutton) and services category and got the following URL:
www.gumtree.com/business-services/sutton

You had enough time to read that ad and respond - are we all with too much time on our hands?

OP posts:
Meerkatwhiskers · 02/06/2013 14:48

Sutton's the arse end of the area (just got to look at the town centre on a friday or saturday night Envy
