So, she is 68 years old, and up to a point she was what I believed to be a loving, kind and respectable human being, I have recently found out that she stood there and watched while her ex husband beat up my mum as a child! She also told my mum when she was a little girl that she had cancer...she didn't btw and I find myself do utterly disgusted by this woman, I've also found out she snogged a 16!!! Yes 16 year old in a local club about a year ago, once again infront of my mum! And then to top it off has had a 3some with the disgustingly smelly carwash fellas from Albania. I had to stay with her for a week once as me and my partner had a falling out and she had a hamster....bear with Me.... She used to put ham in its cage and fruit and hamsters won't eat meat so it was off and smelling, she had one of her friends around and blamed the smell on me! She talks about me behind my back and is one of them people who if she is not involved in a conversation will bark out a laugh, just to make people look at her! She chases around foreign men in their 20's, I am utterly repulsed by this woman! I unfriended her on fb....I know, sounds childish...just because she was messaging me EVERYDAY pretending to be this sweet little grandma when I know what a mucky slag she is, she found out that I'd deleted her because she spies on my profile every day and apparently she cried, and tbh I just dont care, and now she's hassling family members asking them what she's done to upset me! Sorry this is stupid long....almost forgot that when I was 20 weeks pregnant, we were all having a family meal at my mum's, I started to have a nap as I was struggling with exhaustion, she started putting this weird teddy in my face while I was sleeping because she'd gotten so pissed at the meal, so I politely told her to fuck off, she then proceeded to drink even more tequila...no one else was drinking... And then me my sister and mum were in a conversation when she decided she was gunna fall down the stairs and piss herself on the floor, she was pretending to be unconscious, no one saw her fall, just heard banging, I thought if shes really injured she'll want an ambulance as she was still feigning unconsciousness, low and behold as soon as I mentioned phoning 999 she made a miraculous recovery! AIBU???? Dear god it feels good to rant!

I have had 1 sexual partner and that is the man i married.

once again, her sex life has nothing to do with you.

the last time i looked this was AIBU

joanna0211marie · 02/06/2013 10:54

A yes or no answer would've been satisfactory, not a debate about whether you think having multiple partners is ok. The question was aibu to hate my grandma? And u didn't answer that. That's my point so that's my last post on this particular matter as it's deviating away from my original post.

MatersMate · 02/06/2013 10:54

Just can't help feeling she has to be some kind of awesome to be pulling 16 year olds at 68!

LadyBeagleEyes · 02/06/2013 10:59

People are entitled to post what they want as long as they're not breaking talk guidelines, Joanna.
You're getting a bit aggressive.

joanna0211marie · 02/06/2013 11:02

I think it was a dare, he was with a big bunch of friends, I wasn't there, but it was my mum who told me because she'd actually not bitten her tongue for once and shouted at her...grandm then cried as if she couldn't understand what was wrong with the situation, my grandmas youngest gc is 14, so I think it's just very very yucky.

joanna0211marie · 02/06/2013 11:06

No aggression on my part, just sad people can't post without trying to start an argument with me, this is a difficult situation for me.

tethersend · 02/06/2013 11:07

Grin corlan

MatersMate · 02/06/2013 11:07

Remember seeing a Grandma on Jeremy Kyle once actually a long time ago....she got her tits out on stage!!??!

MatersMate · 02/06/2013 11:09

Seriously though, this is who she is, I think it may come to put up or shut up, as it really isn't up to you to tell a 68 year old woman what she can or can't do with her life.

joanna0211marie · 02/06/2013 11:09

Yes Ive seen that episode, someone posted it to my fb wall, my colleagues at work actually compare the two.

RhondaJean · 02/06/2013 11:12
Hmm
TheBigJessie · 02/06/2013 11:14

this lady is related to me and is making a name for herself and she is Associated with me so therefore it has got everything to do with me.

It might be easier to get new friends who wouldn't judge you by your gran's sex life, tbh.

^A sentence I never envisaged typing when i joined MN.

joanna0211marie · 02/06/2013 11:19

Lol, its work colleagues who know about her antics, and they like to take the piss as the people she's been at it with come in the shop, and I'm not joking some of these men are really dirty (as in unclean) looking and smelly, she has no standards.

waikikamookau · 02/06/2013 11:24

oh hamsters do eat meat, btw, just a small point

HoHoHoNoYouDont · 02/06/2013 11:25

Have I wandered into the Jeremy Kyle studio by mistake?

TheBigJessie · 02/06/2013 11:26

Say, "I'm not comfortable with this", and keep saying it.

joanna0211marie · 02/06/2013 11:31

Thanks to everyone who has given me advice instead of just passing judgments about certain comments, I'll take it all into account and try and figure out a nice way of tellin her that although she may act how she sees fit, I do not wish to acknowledge her anymore as I don't agree with her behavior.

Why the namechange halfway through? I have the op's posts highlighted and got confused.

joanna0211marie · 02/06/2013 11:49

Explained name change further up the thread

MatersMate · 02/06/2013 12:43

Think you're right OP, you don't need the stress of this so far pregnant.

What about your Mum though?

WhereDoAllTheCalculatorsGo · 02/06/2013 13:07

What does cngaf stand for Joanna? No one else seems to have noticed this.

joanna0211marie · 02/06/2013 13:22

Could not give a f**k

crumblepie · 02/06/2013 16:36

it sounds like shes just realised her age and is scared of getting old ,not a lot you can do really apart from ignore her and tell her shes making a bad name for herself, and no yanbu .

OliviaMMumsnet · 02/06/2013 16:50

@joanna0211marie

No aggression on my part, just sad people can't post without trying to start an argument with me, this is a difficult situation for me.

Hello there OP
Sorry that you are going through this - do you think that perhaps AIBU might not be the best place for this thread?
Would you like us to move this thread to relationships?
Let us know won't you?
Thanks
