Am I a freak

I have had sex with 1 man, my husband.

Just came home after a night out with female friends after a discusion about sex and every one has had more sexual partners than me. I stayed quiet.

Am I a freak for having 1 sexual partner

Having 1 doesn't make you a freak and neither would having 100.

Nope, each to their own, my friends the same, good for her, I'm definitely not, but if I'd met DH a few years earlier then I'd like to think he'd have been the only one :)

Of course you're not a freak, why do you feel that way? Were your friends making it into a competition? Would they really care if you'd slept with one person? Or if you'd slept with a thousand?

barring a few terrible fumbles i have only had 1 proper partner too. also my DH.

If you are happy and "happy" (iyswim!!) then dont worry about it.

But having read your OP, no, you're not.

You might be in a minority in this day/age, but that's not necessarily a bad place to be.

Everyone's listened to people talking about experiences they haven't had, I've never driven a car by myself (never passed my test) but I still dream about it and wonder what I'm missing independence-wise.

Driving a car isn't on the same intimate scale as having it off is, but you've found someone you're happy with straight off, how cool is that?

Same applies here. I met DP when I was 16 and a virgin and we're happy so that's all there is to it. Under these circumstances anyone who is monogomous in a relationship would be in the same situation so you should really view it that you're one of the lucky ones finding your DH on the first try Grin

No, not a freak. I am in the same, in my circle of friends I'm the only one to have slept with one person.
I'm happy that I've only slept with DH. I'm probably weird though as the thought of another man touching me like that makes my skin crawl

They probably exagarrated (excuse spelling!) the number of men they have slept with anyway.

You are not a freak and you are not alone either! Absolutely nothing wrong with waiting for the right person and holding onto them. Something the youth of today should practice. I sound like my nan!

Not at all. Quite a few people end up accidentally staying with their first serious boyfriend and sexual partner for ever! It's not that they set out to be virginal brides or anything - it's just the way things happened.

I think among the women I know there is a broad cross section between the people who have only had one partner, people who have had a handful, people who have had a fair few but not so many that they have run out of fingers and toes to count them on, and people who have had so many they eventually stopped keeping count.

All normal.

Everybody else's experience is not yours - stop doubting yourself woman! When it comes to sex so long as it's legal and consenting there is no right or wrong.

I have had a few partners, lived with some and married in my late twenties as it was important to me to experiment a bit before settling down. Then again I've never smoked or taken drugs as experimenting in that way was never important to me but I don't feel bad about it if my friends start telling me about wild nights out they had in their youth. As long as you're happy with your choices, be proud of them.

A huge percentage of the married couples I know have only ever had one partner - each other. That includes my younger sister, who is in her mid-twenties. It's not as unusual as you might think Smile

Indeed you are not a freak. Well done for sticking with same partner. I am kind of jealous and somewhat inferior to you. I have never had a serious relation and I am 30+ my sex life has been a string of one night stands. However I met a guy a few weeks ago and we now see each other every Fri for sex so who knows this could go somewhere. I wont hold my breathe though. I don't or rather didn't used to think "oh I've had him and I've had him. I'd think oh well there's another one who didn't want to see me again" xxx

Of course you're not a freak. I've only been with 2 men, the first I slept with him a total of 3 times, the second is my husband. If you're a freak then so am I.
