To find breastfeeding a 2 yr and 3 month old unsettling and slightly repulsive?

I am guessing this thread might upset some people but really...? DH and i were shocked to learn someone we know is breastfeeding a child who can walk and speak and self determine...dh wouldn't discuss it over lunch...

I haven't read the whole thread yet. I agree with the consensus that bfeeding is natural & healthy. I say as I sit here bfeeding my 6 Month old. However, I also think bottle feeding is a valid choice, and would not judge anyone for their choice of feeding.
I am interested, though, to hear what exactly it is that bothers the op & her husband about extended bfeeding. Why does the age of the child matter?.
