With the slogan 'it's good to be a dad it's better to be a friend'

Hate it

It's not better to be their friend it's better to be their parent

Bloody ad agencies!

YANBU!!

It's daft. I don't understand why he the show the dad as a little boy instead of an adult.

ecclesvet · 31/05/2013 20:54

You've assumed that the two are mutually exclusive, but the advert never says that. I think the advert is saying that being a father is good, and the best part of that father role are the times you are a friend with your son.

I thought most of it was sweet the first time I saw it. Little lad carrying his brother/best mate when he was tired etc. DH and I were totally Confused when he says 'night dad'.

Then the slogan came up and DH and I both said "NO IT ISN'T!"

DSD thinks it is lovely but I figure she doesn't have a parent's perspective :o

TigOldBitties · 31/05/2013 21:02

I like it, wouldn't most parents like to be a friend and a parent?

It's nice to sometimes know you aren't just mum but also their friend.

SkinnybitchWannabe · 31/05/2013 21:03
