To just give in and accept I will never be able to wear my pretty skirts.

Skirts are 6 years old and barely worn. There are about 5 of them and they are gorgeous pretty summery skirts that I paid a fortune for and then got pregnant.
2 children later, a size 40 inch waist and split abdominal muscles, I have started running in an attempt to drop 2 dress sizes and get back into said skirts.
Please come in your droves to tell me IABVVU, that you have achieved similar and to stick to my guns Smile

Yabu. I've dropped 5 dress sizes, also have split stomach muscles and I wear skirts all the time :) I even wore a crop top the other day which I never thought I'd do again :D work hard and it'll pay off :)

By 5 dress sizes I mean from a 22 to a 12 :)

Dropped from 14 stone size 18 to a 10 stone size 10/12 throught changing diet & exercise. You can do it! Took 18 month to 2 years mind. But it's still off 4 years later...and wardrobe has been revolutionised!

In the last couple of weeks I have worn two skirts that I thought were destined for the charity shop. One of them was 8 years old and bought in the first flush of rapid weight loss after DD was born.

It can be done :)

Wow, thanks ladies. I needed the pep talk.

You can do it, don't give up, i'm working hard to achieve the same thing - to wear decent fashions and get fitter and be less fat!

survivingthechildren · 30/05/2013 13:51

YABVU!

I've had 5 children, and I managed through blood, sweat, and tears to get back down to a 12.

Whilst I will never wear leather minis again, I can wear most other things!

For split abdominal muscles, try the Tupler Technique - crunches etc can make a diastolic hernia worse!

And yes, you can do it!
