Worrying!

DD is 7, stb 8. She has only recently been allowed out "to play" on her own and I still keep a close eye on her.

Just this month a friend from school has moved in next door. Friend has been over twice so far. Yesterday dd went to friends at half 4, told her to come home for half 5 and she did.

Today she went to friends house just after 2. I didn't give her a time to come home and now I'm worrying - not sure what about!

I don't have the dads number and I could go and knock the door but I dont want to interrupt their play time and I can't just go and say "just checking everything is okay" without looking like the paranoid mother!!

Tell me to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet and stop the scary scenarios I'm imagining all conjured up by recent news items involving young girls Sad

Just knock and tell her what time she has to be home..

Get her a cheap tesco pay as you go mobile.

She's out and about so you need to check on her.

She's playing next door at her friends house?

Stop worrying. Knock when you want her back.

dancemom · 18/05/2013 15:28

She has an old mobile if mine but it needed charging so she didn't take it with her. I will need to make sure she does in future.

I should be happy she is having fun and has someone to play with

Think I will need to go round, I'm going to drive myself crazy otherwise!

Be careful or somebody might take a picture of her pulling a funny face.

dancemom · 18/05/2013 15:34

Ah but if they took a picture of her they could send it to me and id know everything was all right :)

Yes okay need to stop worrying, she is next door at a friends house, where she has been been before and I must keep my neurotic ways under control!
