What's not to like. OK the taste may be a bit tooth rotting for some, but... er did I mention it was cheap.

I love it too -much prefer it to proper wine!

idiot55 · 10/05/2013 21:59

I am drinking it right now, love it, tastes like cider a bit to me!

Ledkr · 10/05/2013 21:59

Atf at "cheerful"

Whitershadeofpale · 10/05/2013 22:01

I love it. But only drink it when alone or with my mum from whom I inherited such bad taste

Lj8893 · 10/05/2013 22:02

Ahh I have some amazing lambrini memories!! I used to buy a big bottle to pre drink before I went clubbing, like 3 times a week!!!

And then my student days were over "boo hoo"

Last time I drank it, it gave me the worst hangover!!

likeitorlumpit · 10/05/2013 22:03

love the cherry one , thats the only drink in my house .

UhOhChongo · 10/05/2013 22:12

Yay, that I'm not alone on this one. Am imbibing the "pear" infused nectar as we type. It's on special at Iceland at the moment, £2.50 for the mega bottle.

Sure cherry lambrini isn't better?? Grin

God no, its like piss. Even when I was younger I didn't touch it. I was a MD 20/20 girl myself

HollyBerryBush · 10/05/2013 22:15

If you are buying it because it's cheap and gives you a kick, and you need to drink, that's makes you an alcoholic.

wibblyjelly · 10/05/2013 22:17

I saw lambrini cider the other day.....

Lj8893 · 10/05/2013 22:17

Lol holly, I don't think implied those were the reasons they drink it!

SPsCliffingAllOverMN · 10/05/2013 22:18

Holly Grin Are you serious?! Confused She said she buys it because its cheap. Not because she relies on it.

Talk about jumping the gun!

I buy malibus cheap Iceland version because its cheap. Therefore I must be in need of it.

Lj8893 · 10/05/2013 22:18

*anyone implied

tigerdriverII · 10/05/2013 22:19

I have t say in 51 years of life and about 36 years of drinking I have never had Lambrini. Is it like Babycham?

bulletwithbutterflywings · 10/05/2013 22:20

Where did she say she needs it? Hmm

bootsycollins · 10/05/2013 22:20

Beware! Tis the devils brew! Hmm

Remember that awful Thunderbirds stuff? Ewwwww

RhondaJean · 10/05/2013 22:20

It doesn't make you cheerful at all, it not only tastes like piss but is piss weak.

It is truly vile, I once ordered a white wine in a nightclub abd they handed me that vile stuff. I threatened them with the trade descriptions act - it is not wine, it's perry and a rather nasty version at that.

(sorry, I apparently feel far too strongly about lambrini - note to self, meet a grip and a life)

bulletwithbutterflywings · 10/05/2013 22:22

I think it is, its 'perry' anyway. I can't remember what it tastes like though!

gordyslovesheep · 10/05/2013 22:24

YABU it's low in alcohol - spend £3.99 on a nice merlot from Lidl (drinking it now) 12% - gets you nicely warm and fuzzy for a lot less

SkinnybitchWannabe · 10/05/2013 22:26

I love it, bit I can drink it by the gallon!

HollyBerryBush · 10/05/2013 22:26

slap me down< I drink something I like, if I were reduced to surfing the daily deals and cheap shit, I'd know I had a problem

JackieTheFart · 10/05/2013 22:27

I've never had it.

I would only judge if you were drinking White Lightening out of the 2l bottle at 9am tbh.

ArbitraryUsername · 10/05/2013 22:29

But holly, the OP is drinking it because she likes it. The cheapness is just a happy coincidence.

I've never had lambrini in my life. Not sure how that happened.

Lj8893 · 10/05/2013 22:32

But the OP said she likes it Holly, and not just because its cheap!

As did everyone else who has said they drink it, apart from me but I was a skint student so the cheapness was possibly a big factor in why I drank it! Haha!

UhOhChongo · 10/05/2013 22:33

Not an alcoholic as far as I know, but thanks for the warning. Made in Liverpool from melted down pear drops I believe....
