Ange1972 · 12/05/2013 09:13

I hate the Ryvita ad where all the smug women are 'lunching' and one dips her Ryvita in the tomato soup!!! Argh!

wonderingagain · 12/05/2013 09:18

If Zingy is a glow-worm why isn't he green and glowing? Why is he parasite coloured?

The Zingy ad is a metaphor - EDF=Zingy the parasite EDF customers = the poor dog.

NurseRatchet · 12/05/2013 10:34

EDF regularly send me letters demanding payment. My energy is provided by British Gas and has been for at least five years.

Primadonnagirl · 12/05/2013 10:50

This thread is making me laff! But not as much as sitting around with my friend eating Ryvita!Agree with Ange completely ..and the new when where they get all turned on by a crappy bit of goats cheese.."oo she's gone all gourmet!" makes me want to weep..I still think most ads aimed at women are either made by men like Don Draper or a task set for one of the Apprentice teams.....

wonderingagain · 12/05/2013 11:57

Yeah what is it with these ads with groups of indentikit women all lounging/swanning/simpering around ecstatically eating 'new' food products and having nothing better to do all day?

LaGuardia · 12/05/2013 15:00

The confused .com ad with cartoon women. The white women are all blonde and slim and sexy, and the black woman is huge and jolly. No stereotypes here.

Ange1972 · 12/05/2013 15:56

Agree primadonnagirl.... Every Ryvita ad makes me wanna throw a hammer at the telly!!! The one for the 'new Ryvita thins' where they jokingly pinch a bit of dip!!! Fuuuuuuuckk offfffff!!!

SlangKing · 10/09/2013 21:58

If I had the lovely Camilla Arfwedson secreted at a hotel, her mouth'd be too busy to do any whispering. Much more annoying is that cheap car ad' with the Brit and Yank bickering about aluminium. "It's got a U in it." They've both got 2 u's in them, the UK version has an extra i, you knobs. Whoever conceived that ad' needs skinning and plunging in brine!

alistron1 · 10/09/2013 22:32

secret escapes woman used to be in grange hill where she played a posh girl.

elcranko · 10/09/2013 22:42

I hate the girl with the vintage dress in the persil ad. I was just saying on a thread the other day how much rage she gives me and nothing has changed since then!

nogreythatmatters · 10/09/2013 23:10

Victoria Wood advertising Sky
Julie Walters advertising Lloyds Bank.

Are they that short of money and integrity?

PresidentServalan · 10/09/2013 23:52

Secret Escapes woman is so bloody smug!! Hate wowcher woman too!

pudcat · 11/09/2013 08:00

The Harvester boy gets on my nerves. And now his sister is even worse.

Fecklessdizzy · 11/09/2013 09:41

Carol Vordeman ... Can't stand her, there's something wrong with her face. I keep expecting her to split and turn into a giant lizard or something.

Secret whispery twit-woman is also massively punchable.

Am I the only one who thinks that SlangKing's resurrection of this old thread from May is slightly weird? Hmm

SmiteYouWithThunderbolts · 11/09/2013 18:47

Many adverts fill me with rage, especially all the ones listed here for all the reasons given.

SmiteYouWithThunderbolts · 11/09/2013 18:48

GODDAMIT, taken in by another zombie thread. And one resurrected with a slightly creepy post too Hmm

Tabby1963 · 11/09/2013 19:28

I'd never heard of this advert so googled it. Now am scarred for life.... soooooooooooo annoying.

Tabby1963 · 11/09/2013 19:29

*secret escapes ad lol

FruOla · 11/09/2013 19:31

Quite, Smite Hmm

SlangKing · 11/09/2013 21:03

How I came to resurrect the thread is a mundane tale indeed. Infinitely more entertaining to be thought wierd, creepy and sinister rather than reveal the banality.
