So if the children at the party in question are not going to feature in my DC's life then I go, but don't collect numbers etc. If my DC are going to spend a lot of time with the children in question I make an effort to get numbers and make sure I am in contact with their parents. I see it as my duty as a parent to help my childs social life, but AIBU not to do it on every occasion?
