Moneyway finance..who the hell are they? Why have they sent friend twatty DH a letter demanding £7000?

Hi, NC, my friend (honestly!!) wank face dh walked out 3 weeks ago after 11 years. No real reason other than 'I don't feel that way any more..I want to do things with my life, I'm lonely''

So far friend who is still in has received credit cards for cards she didn't even know existed! she also payed for everything,blessing in disguise

This afternoon she receives one for Moneyway motor finance, stating that he borrowed £10,000 , paid £2000, stopped, so now they are terminating their contract and will be going through the court to gain the rest! She has NO idea what its about! Could he have got a loan again their car -( which he figgin drove off in!)

She has rang him up, asked him about it, he put phone down and now has rang up saying he went guarantor for his 'friend' That he cant get through to company as his old mobile was his pass word and he cant remember it... (why would he have a pass word if he was guarantor) I could physically beat him!

any suggestions ...

Ask this to be moved to Legal. You'll get some good advice there.

Off the top of my head, I think motor way finance is a very high interest loan company that guarantees against your car.

It's similar to Provident or Black Horse etc. You can borrow money quickly, but have to make weekly or monthly payments or they'll take you to court for your car.

Is the loan in his name, or both of them? Did your friend tell them that he no longer lives there?

If its in his name not hers ignore.

He does not live there anymore its his debt

If it is in her name and she did not take it out, then her first port of call should be the police.

unless he conned HER into signing anything regarding a loan/finance agreement, it is not her problem and there is nothing for her to worry about, It's his problem (even if he was dumb enough to sign for a friend). Sounds like he is trying to run away from his problems. Needs to see a debt councillor/CAB.

Its in his name only...no mention of other friend either. He asked my Dh to go pick it up and I phoned him and told him to stay out of it, she can send it in post to his mothers where the rest have gone to!

He has told dh apparently also it was a guarantor for other friend, but I don't believe him. He has had debt in the past which she had to help pay off which wasn't even hers!

He walked out 6 weeks before family holiday which she paid for but still expects to go on it!! nice!

send the letters back to the companies - or write to them to tell them to pursue at his mothers house

She needs to get - I don't know the proper term, but it's basically a formal financial seperation, it might even be something that gets put on your credit reports that says you're not financially linked with a certain person. I only vaguely know about it, sorry.

I am not sure if she can do this if the person is her husband, but she needs to find out.

The reason is that he is fucking someone else. She would be wise to visit a CAB about his debt.

phantom I know she has just rang his Df told all and said she is cancelling him off. He is furious. Its even worse that they are going back to the hotel were they got married! What a wanker! The holiday is ruined for both family's.
