I work full time m-f dh works shifts and is often at home during the week while the dcs are at nursery and school. Aibu to expect him to sort out stuff like taking the cat to the vet taking the dcs to the library etc rather than me having to do it at the weekend with both dcs in tow and everywhere is busy?

No, not unreasonable at all. Is he refusing or just lacking initiative?

MagicHouse · 26/04/2013 21:28

Depends - is it when he needs to catch up on sleep? If not - it would be nice if he could do it. I wouldn't "expect" it though.

letseatgrandma · 26/04/2013 21:45

Not at all unreasonable. What are his reasons for not doing such things??

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 26/04/2013 21:45

Mine took my old cat to the vet last week - bless him, he tried, but did end up calling me when I was driving home (on headset of course) and putting me on speaker phone to the vet Grin. TBH that was fine, as at least I didn't have to play hunt the bastard cat.

lots of men are very fond of cats and would have no hesitation.

Don't they get on?
