For instance:
A) Are George and Richard Rabbit G&T? They've just set up Dinosaur World in George and Peppa's bedroom, with an upturned laundry basket as a volcano, a forest of toy trees and a river made of blue building blocks. They're not like any 18 month old I've ever seen!

B) Do you have no choice but to marry the only available instance of the other gender of your species in existence? How did Mrs Rabbit and Miss Rabbit decide who got to marry Mr Rabbit?

C) Why did Daddy and Mummy Pig call George George when it so definitely doesn't start with P? Did she not get shot down on a Baby Names thread for that one?

My favourite "Miss Rabbit does all the jobs" episode was the aquarium one: in one frame you see her in scuba gear, cleaning the tanks out. In the next frame, she's dressed and behind the till in the gift shop. She is, however, dripping slightly...

Suzy Sheep can be a right little sod to Peppa sometimes, not just the Leo the lion episode but the talent day at school where she performed the talent Peppa was going to and then grinned at her all smugly. Angry

Re Mr Potato's accent, does anyone else wonder whether he's modelled on the Sportacus guy?!

What worries me most is, having read this thread, I've realised I've seen every episode that has been mentioned. Blush
I love when Daddy Pig turns out to actually be "a bit of an expert"
Although why he didn't get a crippling fine for having a book out for 10 years is a mystery!

Daddy pig reminds me of my ex DH, I have a two minutes silence when that pompous arse appears.............

The vets pets are Tiddles the Tortoise Binky the Budgie and Lulu the Lizard.

Her accent is my favourite, esp. when she does the emergency flight to the gecko who is unwell because he is upside down. "Poor Lickle Pickle" "I'll just turn him over"

I have also seen every episode but my 2 dc won't watch it anymore (too babyish) so I may have to record a few episodes just for me Grin

Why does Peppa have a different increasingly adenoidal voice in every episode? :)

I saw the episode with the Pig family watching Detective Potato on TV first and he has the same accent as Mr Potato. So I had assumed he was modelled on Poirot...but perhaps the Lazytown reference is correct or they are different potatoes.

I think Peppa's voice changes because there have now been about four different Peppa voice actresses (I think one of them now does Ben and Holly).

What's all this about the Ben & Holly voices changing though?

DD's first word (after 'dada') was Bebba beh! Said exactly like that, with the exclamation mark. Really hoping the Peppa Pig days are over soon.

Do you think Mummy Pig posted in AIBU when the Kangaroo family turned up to stay one day after Daddy Pig had chatted to Daddy Kangaroo at the airport?

Also why doesn't Peppa ever wear her new red shoes?

I think it's best not o think too deeply about Peppa Pig; it gets very confusing!

I love when mr potato says, when introducing himself "my friend and yours, mr potato" - makes me laugh every time. I think the have a vet for the pets and dr for the mammal animals!

We were at friends on Sunday & having watched their 6yr old DS on roller skates, 2.5yr old DD fancied a go (with me supporting her). She started saying "Push, push, glide" & I suddenly realised she'd got it from the Ice skating ep! Unsure if this indicates too much or just the right level of Peppa!

Wtf is Mr Potato about? A giant, talking potato with arms and legs that encourages the children to eat other vegetables. Creepy cannibalistic fucker.

And the episode where the mummies helped out at the fire station and the daddies set fire to their BBQ - what (or who) exactly were they going to BBQ?!

Is Dr Brown Bear voiced by Roger Moore?

Don't know - but I was MASSIVELY surprised to hear Andy Hamilton as one of the characters recently (can't remember which as I was trying to cook-and-block).

Are there really more than one Miss Rabbit? That makes more sense.

I want to know why everyone ends up on their back when laughing (cue 'nother one mummy') - where's that come from?? Sod LOL - it's FOFL (fell on floor laughing) now??

Ds used to love peppa pig but dd has never had the chance because ds now refuses to have it on if he is in the room.

I am going to put a peppa DVD on for dd when he's at school tomorrow. I am sadly looking forward to it!

it's better than Justin's bloody house

Love that I've found others as obsessed with PP as me!
Unfortunately my 2 DS's have grown out of it now but we still love to quote PP characters often.

My favourite is when the vet turns up to the poorly lizard
Dr. hamster - "where's the sick lizard?"
(it's right at her feet)
Dr. Elephant - "there it is"

Makes me chuckle every time Grin

Why does Chloe pig call her Dad Uncle Pig? Its just too confusing.

Also, Daddy pig was a bit deluded if he thought they were all fitting in the tent. It was a bit of a tardis.

And, AND!!! When the car was dirty, Mummy pig and Daddy pig should have had a raging row about being held up by the need to wash the car. Why hadnt it been done earlier eh? Them two are too chilled out. Its not normal.

Wallace!

There is!
The same happened to my 3 year old!
It took her 30 min to stop crying and then she explained to me that peppa and all her friends went to bed in the tent and then they heard the wild animal noises and started screaming!

Took me half hour to explain they were only pretending and that it was only a bird!

Report
jaabaar · 24/04/2013 01:23

I had to watch same episode the next day and explain her another couple of times. Then she was happy with it...
