It's funny how people like this can on the one hand accept that there are statistical trends about achievement etc., so completely that they simply condemn individual pupils as being bound to do xy or z because they belong to a group that statistically does that, and on the other hand be so lacking in curiosity about the reasons for those trends, that they are happy to put individual results down to individual choices, while denying the context in which the choices are made.
They are completely incoherent. Mind you, I think I might be by now, I think it might be the memory of the sexual volcano.
