Local shop near us (years ago) was selling 'spanch - 50p a buch'. We still talk about 'spanch' to this day.

once pissed at a dodgy working mens type club ( there was a quiz) we saw a sign saying
Kid's christmas party.

We felt rather sorry for him. All alone.

I once corrected an error on a wall at dd's nursery. I just couldn't bear it, every time I saw it I wanted to scream. I am so embarrassed I did it though Blush

I once always spelt it wrong 'definately' until my friend got annoyed and told me it comes from the Latin word 'finite'

Not misspelt it since.

At the working men's club wine was £2 a glass. We asked for a bottle. They didn't sell whole bottles. Fraeks
