Lol at death throes!

You do know that your lot are fucked come 2014?

LaVolcan · 18/04/2013 23:06

We shall see KarlosKKrinkelbeim - elections coming up soon.

A local bye election had a 17% swing to the LibDems from the Tories. (No nonsense about a coalition at the local level.)

YouTheCat · 18/04/2013 23:08

I stayed off threads lauding MT because I would have had to sit on my hands a lot and it makes typing rather tricky.

Go and praise Thatcher somewhere else and let us giggle at Osborne.

Sheshelob · 18/04/2013 23:09

That's right, everyone, STOP having so much fun!

KKK is going to instruct us on how we are a dying breed.

LaVolcan · 18/04/2013 23:09

@usualsuspect. It's not an either/or choice. It's possible to be both dim and a Tory.

YouTheCat · 18/04/2013 23:11

Almost obligatory really. Grin

MarmaladeTwatkins · 18/04/2013 23:11

KKK (clever) is probably Mrs Gideon, getting all cross with the nasty internet people being mean to her pudgy-faced DH.

There can be no other reason why anyone would choose to defend him.

edam · 18/04/2013 23:15

Wow, only just caught up with this thread and am bemused by the derailment into accusations of anti-semitism a few hundred posts back. Threads do take odd turns sometimes but seriously, someone was 'offended' because 'how much can I turn the thumbscrews on the poor and disabled today' Gideon sounds as if he might be a bit Jewish, ffs?

Even though a. he isn't and b. it's a Biblical name, like Ben or Sam, not exclusively reserved for the children of Israel (who are no doubt jolly relieved that Gideon is not amongst their number) and c. that's spectacularly missing the point?

That is some serious desperate stretching for a far-fetched reason to object to people taking the piss.

Sheshelob · 18/04/2013 23:17

Because, Twat my dear, she is a resident of the moral high ground, where humour is outlawed and flabby faced manbots are worshipped.

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 18/04/2013 23:18

The Tories may well not win in 2014. That doesn't mean socialism will. Even the Labour party now doesn't dissent from any of the main planks of her reforms. Lefties are always whining about how there is no genuine left-wing alternative in mainstream politics. If that isn't defeat, I don't know what is.

YouTheCat · 18/04/2013 23:20

Nope. Not whining here.

MarmaladeTwatkins · 18/04/2013 23:20

I've changed my mind. She is Louise Mensch.

reelingintheyears · 18/04/2013 23:26

This thread is brilliant.

Louise Mensch aka 'Baggy' Bagshawe is a screeching crazy.

Sheshelob · 18/04/2013 23:31

Giddy: "Look, Baggy, I can make wee wee come out of my face."

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 18/04/2013 23:33

I literally cannot comprehend how bereft of amusement your life would have to be to find the premise of this thread funny.
God knows, I've known boredom. I've sat through double maths. I once had to spend a week combing through legislation on stamp duty reserve tax. but the notion that I could ever have enough tedium inflicted upon me to find a thread like this funny ... no, this could never happen to me. Thank fuck.

LaVolcan · 18/04/2013 23:34

Then why are you reading it, Karlos?

BTW tax is interesting.

ByTheSea · 18/04/2013 23:36

YANBU

reelingintheyears · 18/04/2013 23:36

Tax is only interesting if it's a rebate.

Sheshelob · 18/04/2013 23:38

Double maths and tax returns?

The extent of Tory hardship, in a nutshell.

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 18/04/2013 23:39

I suppose I am goggling in horrified fascination at you all, really.
Some of my closest friends would identify as left wing but I have never witnessed puerility on this level from them .. . maybe it's a kind of perversion you lefties like to indulge in behind closed doors and in RL you all appear perfectly normal?

YouTheCat · 18/04/2013 23:42

No, I am seriously puerile most of the time. I really couldn't care less what some faceless stranger/tory thinks of my views on anything.

Flosshilde · 18/04/2013 23:44

I might be a raging leftie, but I know some Tories I married one and even they think Gideon is a cunt.

LaVolcan · 18/04/2013 23:48

Perhaps Gideon was crying because the IMF had described his performance as lacklustre? Not what we expect from a star of the Tory firmament is it?

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 18/04/2013 23:51

So far as hardship is concerned, IME it's usually the privileged types who indulge in limp-wristed left-wing idiocy. Those of us who've been through the fire in one way or the other tend to be a bit more hard-headed about things. Having a DS with a disability has certainly opened my eyes to the pointlessness of throwing money at state health and education services, for example.

YouTheCat · 18/04/2013 23:54

I'd love to be privileged.

And I also have a ds with a disability. It is very naive to believe that those similarities would make me a Tory.
