To think my banana bread dough should not look like slop?

Sad

It's just a soggy puddle in the bottom of the bread maker, please tell me it's going to magically turn into a lovely moist loaf in the next 30mins.

feel free to lie

Mine always looks foul before I cook it

TroublesomeEx · 09/04/2013 11:40

Just have faith. It will work. It always looks sloppy before you bake it.

Lueji · 09/04/2013 11:41

Unless you have already been baking it for 30 min, it will be fine probably. :)

Have you ever baked? Wink

Sneepy · 09/04/2013 11:41

What did you expect batter to look like? Also: why make it in a bread machine, it's not got yeast in so quite easy to just mix up yourself?

VitoCorleone · 09/04/2013 11:44

Yes it always looks like sloppy goo before i put it in the oven

HerrenaHarridan · 09/04/2013 11:47

Phew. It is actually starting to smell ok.

Not really a baker, have had machine for about 3 weeks and so far only savoury loaves that looked like dough before cooking and became bread.

26 mins left on timer and its maybe starting to look vaguely non slop like Smile

It's cake! It will look like slop for a while.

Fudgemallowdelight · 09/04/2013 11:53

If you have the panasonic and are using the banana bread recipe from the instruction booklet then i wouldn't expect too much. It didn't work for me and it didn't work for a friend who tried it. (I don't normally have problems with making anything in it.)We bought ours a few years ago though so it may have been updated since then

HerrenaHarridan · 09/04/2013 12:04

It says maranello on the top if that's means anything to anyone. Was given to me by someone who didn't get on with it.

Other than the first complete disaster loaf, it's been a dream and made lovely fluffy loaves.

The receipe I got online here

And it is starting to look like something I would actually consider putting in my mouth (as opposed to vomit) Smile

:)

use the banana bread recipe on here. Think it is 10/10 on reviews. Fantiastic every time. Oh and mine is always quite running when i put it in the tin. I 'pour' it in.

CoffeeShoppe · 09/04/2013 12:22

runny

HerrenaHarridan · 09/04/2013 12:29

Oh yeah!

Banana breadtastic!

Thanks Smile
