Seriously. I've been calling it "The Foetus".

Anyone else?

Ds was Bruce (would have been Brucina if a girl - imaginative in this house!).

We & family referred to him as this so often, lots of people thought it would be his actual name.

Calmisthemantra · 05/04/2013 14:06

Bump is named JeffGrin didn't find out the gender. Catsbumface from both mothers when it's said

PurpleStorm · 05/04/2013 14:29

DH gave DS a cutesy bump name.

After DS was born, this was followed by months of BIL persistently referring to DS by cutesy bump name instead of DS's proper name. Really, really, annoying.

TerracottaPie · 05/04/2013 14:30

DC1 and then 2 didn't get in utero names.

DC3 got called Pip. Mainly because his siblings wanted a name to call the baby. We used that name so much I thought it would stick as a nickname once he was born. But it didn't. Pip was the bump and DC3 was DC3. If that makes sense?

DC4 is Twiglet. Think that's because it was Christmas when we were trying to figure out some name to call the baby and there was one of those yummy tubs of twiglets on the table. I don't really use it that much though, again it's for the siblings more than anything.

They have all been Parasite at some point during the pregnancy though!

Maggie111 · 05/04/2013 14:34

My friend called hers Gobshite till she was born.

My bump is called Bumpy.

beginnings · 05/04/2013 14:35

We didn't intend to name the bump but a bump name popped into my head about three days after I found out I was pregnant and it stuck. It's now DD's nickname. The name is part of a pair (telling you would out me) and the current bump is now the other name of that pair.

Ridiculous. Clearly I lose my mind when pregnant.

Pudgy2011 · 05/04/2013 14:41

My bump was Pudgy. Now DS's nickname is Pup.

Lueji · 05/04/2013 14:46

No, not at all.

Parasite is fine.

I also used Junior.

HorryIsUpduffed · 05/04/2013 15:32

I know what my name was in utero - it is a v trendy boy name nowadays Grin

DC1 was obliquely referred to as "puppy's friend" while we were keeping the pgy secret. Later he was "kicky baby" or KB.

sammysaidso · 05/04/2013 15:41

Mine was just bump (boring)

sammysaidso · 05/04/2013 15:43

Or we were both know as the death star in the last few weeks, due to my size Blush

StrawberriesTasteLikeLipsDo · 05/04/2013 16:07

DS1 was mango. I cant remember why?!
DS2 was (and still is) Wombpig. There is a song and everything Grin

StrawberriesTasteLikeLipsDo · 05/04/2013 16:08

(I should add DS2 is 14 weeks and has been upgraded to ludvig wombpig, in a bavaaaarian (ala chitty chitty) accent) Grin

juniper9 · 05/04/2013 16:36

Mine is The Bastard. Topical and accurate.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 05/04/2013 16:37

Mines is "thing 2" :o

TheBigJessie · 05/04/2013 16:40

My friend came up with Em- short for embryo. "Because you just can't do anything with fetus". I later found out it was twins, and broke the news by saying "Em's twin wants a name too!" My resourceful friend then came up for Zy for zygote.

So that was what they were called.

goldenlula · 05/04/2013 16:47

I think ds1 was bump or baby. Ds2 was 'baboo' as that was what ds1 called it. Infant, ds1 refused to use ds2's actual name for 3 months after he was born, if anyone asked what his baby brother's name was he replied 'baboo'. Dd was baby or bump or baboo.

rootypig · 05/04/2013 16:50

Awful MIL called mine Beanie in her stupid girlie voice

Made me want to hurl. Still does actually.

Booboostoo · 05/04/2013 17:23

Mine was called "Spawn of 'DP's surname'". I was not particularly impressed with the never ending sickness she caused.

Ariel21 · 05/04/2013 17:27

They often seen to be various types of bean. Jelly bean, kidney bean, has-bean...

What's the annoying name Emma out of Emma's diary calls hers?

Quak · 05/04/2013 17:33

MrsK - us too. Except she got stuck at lemon. I even got a mother's day card last year from 'the lemon'!

NightmareWalking · 05/04/2013 17:58

DD was buggerlugs as she made me feel so rotten all the time, also Mungo or Euphemia, which we said were our name choices, as I was sick of people trying to force their choice of names on me all the time.

Pigsmummy · 05/04/2013 19:41

I called mine Pip, as due to scares we had very early scans when baby was the size of a pip, the name stuck She is now a lovely bouncing baby who is very long for her age, so not very pip like any more, we didn't call her Pip but it was handy for coded speak about pregnancy before we announced it. I don't see the harm, a friend called theirs Bean and another called hers Pickle.

attheendoftheday · 05/04/2013 19:46

Dd1 was called Schrodinger after a scare early on when we weren't sure if she was alive or not.
