My 22 month old can now out run me and has no sense of danger.

I am struggling with tantrums about this on a daily basis and am upset that no friends have ever mentioned this!

Am I the only parent who has this issue?

(I am not a particularly slow runner in te first place, although I am getting faster now).

Mine used to goin the buggy if they dare run off. I'd strap them in, much to their disgust.
Both very safety conscious now. The 3.6 year old is anyway, but the 20 mo is not running away as much, and when told to hold hands, has to, otherwise she's in the buggy.

I had forgotten about this! The speed they can get up to is quite something. I was more of a rugby tackler and strap them hard into the pushchair. You have to be ready in case they bolt.

Yes I got a hell of a shock when I was out run by DD at a similar age. Why did no one tell me they could move so fast??

Thankfully my DP holds some records for running in his youth and can only just catch her. Me, no chance I, don't even try any more.

YY to reins and getting fit!
