TESCO Bank - to be angry with their sheer rudeness

They keep phoning to speak to someone who isn't on my number. I keep telling them that the person isn't on this number and to stop calling. They keep calling all the same and we are registered for not getting sales calls.

The person won't give me their name, and won't pass me onto the manager and when I ask they hang up.

How do I stop the feckers?

I have the name of the person they keep asking for, so surely it isn't that hard to stop calling her!?

Pretend to be a 94 year old confused woman and ask them to come round for a cup of tea and achat.

A friend did that to a double glazing tele sales person and agreed to have all new windows - 'oohh won't that be so lovely, thank you so much', etc etc, and then asked, after making an appointment to measure up, did they think she should mention it to her landlord!

I hate f**king banks. That's all.

It's a computerised allocation.

This last time the woman asked me for my telephone number and I told her that if she didn't know it, I wasn't giving it. She they said that she couldn't stop the calls then, but I told her that she could stop all calls to the named person they keep asking for and then she insisted on my number.

I asked to be put through to a manager and she hung up.

This was happening to my friend but it was Lloyds bank ringing him asking for some guy. They were ringing several times a day so in the end he complained using a form on the Lloyds bank website and they called him to apologise and offered him £50 compensation. The calls stopped. Maybe try something similar?

I've been all over tesco bank looking for a way of contacting them and though there probably is a way, I resent the time I have already taking trying to find this deliberately hidden information.

It's not even the ringing. It's the rudness and the hanging up. It's the whole lot.

So if you're registered with TPS then they could be fined for pestering you couldn't they? I'd try to take it further if I were you!

Start asking them what pants they are wearing and how they have such a sexy voice and then start panting.

The TPS thing is a red herring, isn't it? Telephone Preference Service is for stopping unsolicited marketing calls. These calls sound like a company trying to get in touch with a customer, but having the wrong number on file.
