Ok I am definitely being unreasonable and oh so very pathetic - I just needed to rant.

Work in a largish store, it has been closed for the last week as it has had a total refurbishment. A couple of us were called in today to help clean up/sort out merchandiser and there were also people higher up than us in today too.

Me and another woman were sorting out the back room when my manager asks if one of us could take some drink orders for tea and coffee. The woman I was with quickly said to me "oh no I really couldn't do that I'd mess it up"

So I went and did it - took about 12 orders, made the drinks correctly (some strong/milky/no sugars/3 sugars etc) and asked her if she would at least help me as I was carrying the tray. Last drink she handed it to the manager and the manager says - "Thanks X for doing that for me"

And she responds with "it's no problem "

I wanted to the throw the tray down and stamp my feet and say I did all the hard work.

See - pathetic but I feel better now for getting it off my chest. [busmile]

Massive rounds of drinks deserve credit - it's not petty, it's a fundamental law of the universe and your colleague has just messed with unknown forces!

Well next time suggest she does it as she did such a good job last time

How annoying! Someone I know does this to me too, taken shopping off me to 'help' carry it inside and then accepted the thanks. There is no social provision for this situation if you are the ignoree.

It might well be a bit petty, but it'd piss me off too. I'd would've had to bite my tongue to keep from saying "of course it was no problem for you, you didn't make them!" possibly with a little cheerful laugh, but as I'm feeling stabby today it probably would have been with a glare and a muttering of "you lazy cah!"

If it happens again OP, make the coffees very badly, then let her take them in.

Oh I would be annoyed soon. I devised a new tracking system for my classes and shared it with the others in my dept. Someone else used it in an observation and when the observer commented on it, he took the credit. I was fuming!!!
