Very fed up of this weather.... Waiting for the spring to arrive but not holding my breathe. AIBU? All I want is to not wear a coat for 8 months of the year!!!

YANBU to be fed up as this winter has been particularly dreary...

We do get sunshine though, and I LOVE the British weather and all it's craziness, so if you're going to threaten to leave, just leave, quietly and don't moan. Smile

Obviously if the weather in general gets you down, then a sunlamp (or emigration) might actually be an answer... saying all that you are being VERY British for complaining about the weather so maybe you shouldn't leave, you're home already! Coats are wonderful, I have more coats than clothes, in fact, because I need coats I save a fortune on clothing.

We don't get a lot of sunshine. In fact, I can't remember the last decent summer that we had. It's depressing.

Yes, I can't say I find constant sunshine boring either, quite the contrary in fact. Although it has rained (twice! Grin ) since we got here in Feb.

I find constant sunshine tiring and monotonous when I go abroad, but maybe that's because I'm not used to having a siesta (it feels like a waste of time because it's a productive part of the day in England!). If I was away for months, I'd probably get into the routine.

Having said that, the NW of England is where my heart is, and a crisp spring morning lifts my soul like nothing else Smile.

I love England but I have to say this last winter which started last August has totally zapped my enthusiasm for life. I'm feeling so depressed, and yes I know it's sunny today but my god it's freezing up north.

I grew up with near constant sunshine. I could cope again Grin.
I would miss seasons, spring flowers and truly green countryside.
I've always it's the lack of reliably decent summers in Britain that bothers me most.
