to think ive bought too much for my sons birthday?

He is 4 on the 8th of april.I bought his presets on amazon a week ago but then yesterday remembered how much he wants a scooter(he scooted to the school o his old crappy ben 10 one which took forever because its all rusty and slow)so bought him one of those mini micro ones with the helmet to match.so far he has

Mini micro scooter
helmet
jake and the neverland pirates pirate ship
hooks pirate ship
the skull island playset thing
no bot the robot wih no bottom-book
hulk costume
toby tiger top with skull and crossbones on the front

dh saw it all last night and said id spent/bought too much,and he doesnt even know about the scooter yet!

Should i send some stuff back,will it be too much for one day or is it all just part of the fun of birthdays,being spoiled?

As long as you can afford it then I don't see a big problem, you can't "spoil" a child by treating them on their birthday. You might be setting a precedent for future birthdays though!

That would seem like a reasonable amount if one or two of those presents were from someone else. Does he have GPs who will be buying him lots of things too?

I think two pirate ships and a playset plus the scooter is a lot.

one of the pirate ships is a small one.Yes we can afford him,no one else really buys him anything as we dont see much of our families as we live so far away and we all have lots of children so dont really bother with birthdays,mil has sent him something but i dont know what it is,it wont be anything "big" though.I dont think my mum will buy him anything.Hes not having a party or anything(not a proper one anyway)so wont have tons of presents off friends like my older son(i only do proper ones oce they start school,4yr old seems to love other kids one day then the next day he says he hates them so i wouldnt really know who to invite!)

Well how much you give him is entirely up to you. It seems ok to me but if you want to scale it back a little keep one or two things by for Christmas (it comes round faster every year).

I'd def give him the scooter and the outfits/clothes. He'll need the scooter (ifHmm) when the weather improves and clothes need to get worn because he'll keep growing.

Tbh though I'd just give it all to him. Presents always look more when they're for little ones becusae the things they want are bulkier in size. As they get older the things get smaller and cost more.

I think perhaps two pirates ships is a bit excessive, but you could get a set of GP's to give one to him. It's alright doing it if you can afford it, I'd just be worried about the next birthday when he might be like, "Eh, where's the rest of it?"!

You can never have enough pirate ships. Ds is nearly 12 and still plays with his. It's all over his bedroom floor right now.

If you cant spoil your own child a bit on his birthday no other bugger is going to.

If you feel its top much then hold something back tot give as a mid year treat or for Christmas.
