We live in a village that was cut off by snow at the weekend, we rejoined civilisation on Sunday but it's still very cold and the drifts are still above person height.
Today the electricity company turned the power off to the village for routine and planned maintenance. It was out for about 12 hours in all. When I called them earlier (we hadn't had a card so I was calling to report a power cut) they said it would be back on by 5, it was after 8 by the time it was restored.
So AIBU to think that planned work should not be done in such extreme weather? Surely the engineers could have been better utilised helping those with storm related power issues? If I'm not BU then I intend to write a letter complaining.
