To think if the last three babies followed this growth curve I won't worry...

if number four does too? I went to the baby clinic to weigh dd (well I didn't go for that reason, I needed a new red book for ds as I lost his and they want to do pre-school jabs) and she's gone from just above the 75th centile to below the 25th in her first 3months. As did dd1, ds1, ds2, they were all born around the 75th, went to the 9th and stayed there forever more, the place where their parents weight is at roughly....

All happy, clever little people (modest me) but skinny and average height. The HV seems to think I'm a bad mum shrugging off the centile drop and kept on at me about bringing her back, really went on and on until I wondered.

2 bottle fed, 2 breast fed, all happy. Am I right to never weigh her again like planned anyway not worry. Never starved a baby, very very content babies, I just have a theory that's how mine grow.

YANBU

Both of mine did the opposite. They were both born on the 25th centile then within a few weeks shot to the 98th. DD 7 fairly tall, slim and healthy. DS 6 months long for his age and lovely chubby happy baby :)

Needless to say health visitor accuses me of over feeding DS and told me I should limit his feed to X onzes of milk. Breast fed and I'm afraid my boob does not come with a measuring device so I'm busy ignoring her. DDs health visitor was lovely and told me to just carry on doing what I was doing and ignore the growth charts

YANBU.

They are babies, not robots.

If they're healthy, hitting milestones and doing well then ignore HV.

I agree YANBU my wee boy was 98th centile for height and 25th centile for weight so health visitor got her knickers in a twist. Interestingly my hubby is Scandinavian and I managed to get a hold of their growth charts (his aunt is a midwife over there) and he is a perfectly normal little Viking! Showed them to the Heath visitor and she went away... Planning on doing the same this time.

YANBU. I had the opposite problem though. At 3 months old, HV expressed her horror at ds2's weight. He was a happy, healthy ebf baby and when I told her that actually, I couldn't feed him in exact quantities since breasts didn't come with taps that could be set to turn off after a given number of ounces, she said I should bottle feed instead! I ignored her.

I suggest you go with your instincts too, OP. You know your dcs, you know how they grow.

YANBU. All of my babies were born on 75th centile, i grow them a reasonable size.

Two of them dropped through the centiles in their first few months and settled at 25th.
