Micheal Gove I too show a vote of no Confidence

It,s hard to believe that a school is closing down to make way for another school to take over. A new primary academy open for 2 years billed as a small village school with 300 pupils now wants to expand so that they can have a 4 form entry with an intake of upto 728 children. They applied to the Government for this and were granted the go ahead to expand.
Our children in the school that is being closed down have been told to leave the school in July as the expanding primary will be taking over our building.
How is it possible that children can be kicked out of school for another school to take over? Our children have been treated with such cruel disregard and are very upset at this treatment and how can it be fair?
The owners have given up the lease on our building Ten years early so that this can go ahead. But I,m also angry that Micheal Gove would give this the okay knowing that our building was fully operational with children already in it.
And that the charitable trust that provided our childrens education can be allowed to do this and not be held accountable for their actions as they have dressed it up as a buisness review.

Who owns/runs the school that is closing? LEA?

Really the school is being expanded and has new management.

It's common place in the South, although I gather in more rural areas this just isn't really starting to happen yet.

The governors will have given the go a head for it. It doesn't 'just happen' unless it is deemed a failing school and an academy chain will be found to take it over - even so the governors still have to be complicit

The sadness is that our school was not a failing school and this was done as a buisiness decision, Really badly.

So how is this Gove's fault? The "private charitable educational trust" has made a business decision with scant regard for its clientele, the fee payers. That's private education at the end if the day.... A business.

Micheal Gove gave the academy the go ahead. How can it be that in this day and age school kids are treated in this way to make way for a school that already has 300 chikdren in it. And then chuck out kids in a school that was not failing and tell them to be on their way. Cfbt is the so called education trust that has done this and its not the first time either. Feel so sorry for our children who are out come July.

They only gave us the notice in Febuary leaving us not alot of time to find other school places

CfBT are a very ruthless organisation. Not only ruthless but frankly fairly amateur too so making a right hash of their Independent and also the Free Schools they are now getting involved in. Stay away any parent considering sending a child to a CfBT school..!
