To wonder if a cash for gold company really ought to be using the church hall?

A cash for gold company had the use of our local church hall all day today, with a banner outside advertising the fact. It's perfectly legal and I suppose they paid well. However, it just seemed a bit odd to me.

yanbu but I can't work out why I agree with you. Just seems...wrong

SnotMeReally · 20/03/2013 21:47

Wrong!

reminds me of the story of jesus overturning the tables of the money changers in the temple who were fleecing everyone and defiling the temple!

I am more upset that people have to sell their jewellery just to pay their bills and put food on the table. At least they didn't have to get the bus to do that today.

My husband pointed out the Biblical precedent of Christ in the Temple so maybe that's it. Those companies just always seem a bit grubby, somehow. Still, could be worse, could be Wonga!
