AIBU in expecting our government not to undermine our legal system?

We've already had the spectacle of the EU declaring that private savings deposited in banks are no longer safe from the unelected and now our legal system has been shown to be without protection.

Sicking behaviour, YANBU.

Sadly none of the major parties are doing anything about this - I understand that Labour are also actively co-operating with the parliamentary process to pass the bill in the shortest possible time.
