To be upset that no one has noticed my new hair colour

I dyed it yesterday and no one (including DH) has noticed.
In case you think it's subtle- it was blonde and is now plum!
Am I being ridiculous to let this cast a gloom over my day?

It looks fab fairy. I went from dark brown to platinum and it took dh 3 weeks to notice

MouseyHousey · 18/03/2013 14:49

I would say I cant believe noone noticed such a big change but I had the same thing the other week! I had long (past my bra strap) mousey hair and cut it to my shoulders and dyed it bright red. I guess luckily my DH did notice but he was the only one and Ive seen loads of family since and noones said anything!
Im sure you look fab op!

Looking lovely fairy

ChocolateCoins · 18/03/2013 16:08

This happens to me too! I think some people go around with their eyes closed.

Weirdly, I always get asked if I've cut/dye my hair when I haven't cut or dyed it in ages. Hmm

MrsMcEnroe · 18/03/2013 16:08

Maybe they have noticed and don't like it?

It sounds fab, from what you've said Smile

thezebrawearspurple · 18/03/2013 16:14

It's strange for nobody to notice unless you're surrounded by men! Or people who think it rude to make any kind of personal comment?

GaryBarlowsPants · 18/03/2013 16:17

Wow Fairy, you've had your hair done!

Seriously though, I have had my hair cut/coloured on numerous occasions and no-one has noticed.

YANBU!

KatyPeril · 18/03/2013 16:18

I went from black to pink and nobody noticed except my ex! They all thought it had always been that colour Confused

MimiSunshine · 18/03/2013 18:42

Take it as a compliment. If it looked bad, they'd have noticed and you'd have known about it. Usually people go with "ooh have you changed your hair? What prompted the change?" Notice the lack of compliment?

I changed my hair recently and some people didn't notice for weeks the suddenly seemed to look properly at me and said they liked it.

hopefloats · 18/03/2013 18:54

Does it look really bad and it's just no-one wants to say anything to upset you? Perhaps it is patchy and they think you have to wait a couple of days to put things right? I know home kits can be a bit Confused

Fairypants · 19/03/2013 20:25

Thanks ppl. Actually it looks really good hope.
Halfway through the afternoon, a colleague suddenly noticed and pointed it out to everyone who were suitably embarrassed at not noticing before.
Then, my friends DS noticed immediately when I went round there "fairypants got purple hair" which shows how much more toddlers notice!
