"Bubbly"
" feisty"
"a bit sweary'
" a foody"?

FOr these are the terms that, come the revolution will SURELY result in summary execution.

I'd quite like to be bubbly but don't have the energy. I am a sweary foodie though.

SkinnybitchWannabe · 17/03/2013 11:55

Id say Im stubborn, moody, opinionated, loving, caring, judgemental but most importantly always right!

firesidechat · 17/03/2013 11:57

Great(sarcastic tone)! I really wanted to put myself in a box there, but none of those apply.

I like to think of myself as a foodie, but since I couldn't eat my duck breast medium rare, I don't suppose I am.

NinaNannar · 17/03/2013 12:01

I'd love to be enigmatic.

Or petite. Or MOST "gamine"

OP posts:
NinaNannar · 17/03/2013 12:02

How can you be caring and opinionated and moody? That's an oxymoron.

OP posts:
NinaNannar · 17/03/2013 12:03

No. It's "a bit sweary". Normally on twitter.

By woman who "only have mates who are men as women are such bitches "

In my experience, people who describe themselves as any of these terms are no such thing!

NinaNannar · 17/03/2013 12:04

That's interesting meg.

OP posts:
monkeymamma · 17/03/2013 12:04

My head teacher described me as 'steely' on my Ucas form. This was both pleasing and accurate.

ATouchOfStuffing · 17/03/2013 12:05

Surely 'sweary' people would call themselves a 'cunt'? Grin

NinaNannar · 17/03/2013 12:06

I'd like gamine AND STEELY now.

I was very pleased with freshly scrubbed once.

I'm bubbly and indeed I am a loud pain in the arse... I'm not sure when I'd actually describe myself as that though? Other than randomly in response to a list of words...

So does that count or not?

VerityClinch · 17/03/2013 12:09

The word other people have used most to describe me (generally in a work context) is "tenacious".

But I'm not.

And anyway, I'm not sure they mean it in a complimentary way anyway...

whimsicalmess · 17/03/2013 12:14

probably bubbly out of all of them , whats a foody?

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 17/03/2013 12:14

I'm not 'a bit' sweary.... I'm extremely fucking sweary.

No to the rest though.... I couldn't do bubbly if you paid me Grin

yousankmybattleship · 17/03/2013 12:16

Nina if you are going to have the power to off a few people could I please ask for anyone who uses the phrase "for my sins" or anyone who writes "polite notice" at the top of someting to be added? Much obliged.

Trinpy · 17/03/2013 12:17

My best mate once described me as 'bubbly'. I've never forgiven her.

'Bubbly' to me is the less attractive, possibly slightly overweight friend who is always single. Why are men never bubbly?

I describe myself as an introvert and complete pushover.

ThreeBeeOneGee · 17/03/2013 12:17

Nope, none of those mentioned so far. Apart from maybe a tiny bit stubborn. And I'm definitely always right.

NinaNannar · 17/03/2013 12:20

I got an email asking me to buy something with "polite reminder " at the top.

I think you can fuck off

OP posts:
LizzieVereker · 17/03/2013 12:20

No. Mostly I would describe myself as tired and usually a bit peckish. So perhaps a hint of foodie.

To me "bubbly" usually means "utterly inane and irritating". I appreciate that it may not have the same connotations for everyone. "Feisty" reminds me of Orphan Annie.

I do think these labels are usually applied to women in a pejorative sense. When did you last hear a man described or describe himself as "feisty" or "bubbly"?
As for they other two, am not sure. I am a bit grumpy today though, due to being tired and peckish (see above).

NinaNannar · 17/03/2013 12:21

Or anyone who writes the date in birthday cards. Why?

NinaNannar · 17/03/2013 12:22

I can't remember anyone actually using these terms in real life?

Foodie ok if it's your real job ie run a Market stall, food Writer etc - rest it's a bit odd as implies you only like artisan tuna or something

Passthesaltdear · 17/03/2013 12:31

Hate it when people say I look well aka well fedHmm

gobbledegook1 · 17/03/2013 12:31

I'm frequently told I'm "feisty". Yes I am opinionated, blunt and can be a bit snappy.

I wouldn't call myself 'a foodie' but I do like my food.
